Review by hotel critic
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Particulier Le 28 in Aix-en-Provence, a charming haven that truly exemplifies culinary innovation. The moment I stepped inside, I felt the warm ambiance created by the owners, who possess a wealth of local history. It’s fascinating to think that Pauline Bonaparte was once a frequent visitor. Each dish was thoughtfully crafted, blending fresh, local ingredients with a modern twist that made my taste buds dance. The open-air dining allowed me to soak in the garden view while enjoying a refreshing glass of local rosé. The breakfast experience also stood out, albeit with some minor inconsistencies. A beautiful array of fresh fruit, warm croissants, and freshly squeezed juices was served in the main sitting room but left me wanting a bit more flair. If you’re seeking a uniquely immersive culinary adventure couched in a cozy and eclectic setting, this boutique hotel ticks those boxes.
